Restaurant Goldene Gans in Oberursel (Taunus)

I like to come here with my relatives and can rely on being served without complaint. The decoration on the tables and in the entire restaurant is sensible and tasteful. The toilet is always clean and all in all the restaurant gives a very good impression. My sister and I thought the selection of drinks was fantastic! I found the selection extremely appealing.

The onion pie was perfect. The service was extremely friendly and asked several times whether everything was okay.

Spent one night there. Single room with breakfast. The room was clean even if the decor wasn't the newest. The hotel is family run and the owners were extremely friendly. The location is great from the proximity to Manmheim main station. The hotel is also geared towards cyclists. (Bicycle cellar available)

The hotel is family-run, the owners and employees are very friendly and customer-oriented. The location of the house is quite central and close to the train station. The rooms are not the most modern, but everything is clean and tidy. Since we only wanted to stay overnight, completely sufficient. Since there was no breakfast buffet due to Corona, a list of what you wanted was asked beforehand, a good solution, in my opinion and every morning there was a follow-up for the following day. Breakfast was very good and tasty. The price-performance ratio is definitely okay. On request, you can rent an underground parking space for your stay, there is also a storage room for bicycles and you can also rent bicycles from the house as a guest.

A bit old, but nice rooms and a very cozy restaurant. Great friendly staff. The bathrooms, however, no longer work. Everything works, but "Bahama beige", with shower curtains from Anno Tubak, has lost its charm. Really great: Mega large fridge in the room

Friendly staff, familiar and excellent breakfast with a large selection. Location close to the main station is of course unbeatable, tram station in the immediate vicinity. Gladly again!

In spite of the corona crisis, there was no way to accommodate the booking period. No changes are possible! Zero service! Thanks for nothing!

Since I only slept in it briefly, I can hardly say anything about it. The rooms were clean the staff very nice. The location from the main station is also very good. But it wouldn't hurt to renovate. You could make a nice hotel and inn out of it. In the summer I prefer a different hotel because of the lack of climate and traffic noise.

Well run restaurant with hotel. Very well-kept and clean atmosphere with friendly staff and nice landlord who also prepares the dishes themselves. An asset in Mannheim for over 150 years! Few imitate that! Must Visit ...

Comfortable family-run hotel with great food! We landed here because we were looking for a sustainable (overnight) accommodation in Mannheim. Clean rooms, great service and nice people. We recommend!

What a lovely little spot this is. Great food, great service, great prices. I had the 250g rump steak that was cooked perfectly with a wonderful pomegranate salad with a balsamic dressing washed down with an equally pinot noir. Only €26 for the steak and salad. Nothing about this restaurant disappointed. It is small, so, if you're set on going here, best book ahead as I got the last table when I drifted in off the back of the other Google reviews.

Top kitchen and great atmosphere. The chef is regularly seen and serves even the guests. Very tasty and only to be recommended!

A rustic hotel with a certain charm, the rooms were a bit old, but absolutely ok. I liked best the wine tavern, where I ate twice delicious and was excellently served! 😊👍 I even got a forgotten part sent home quickly and free of charge, thank you very much! 😊 The next stay in Mannheim, I like to come back!

A very cozy hotel close to the train station - 300 meters. From the outside it looks like a small pub where you get good German food. You can also get it and it tastes good. Service is very friendly. The room was newly renovated, with good beds and a large and modern bathroom. The breakfast is good and fits the price. Only minus is the size of the elevator, which was only a problem because we had a stroller with us. But was resolved.

There is also an English menu and it is written in German only. The right food in the photo does not know the name, but you must eat. Add pork invincible. JMT You can feel the rich taste of beef bone soup in German cuisine.

Nice to stay here with friends and famy.

It was completely disgusting place

Middle ages come back, you can go and try, it was like another world. Poor service, rats playing around the hotel (can be documented with video). But if you hate air conditioner its good place - no any air conditioner. This is not 3-star hotel, may be 2 star.

I have stayed 27 days in this hotel. which booking and payment were done by organisation. Very small rooms. There is no air conditioning. Rats playing around hotel . Staff were very rude. Poor breakfast.I not recommend it !!!

Always happy to have dinner with a varied weekly menu. If I want to eat home-style or German I go to the golden goose. From the sausage to the rump steak delicious! I also like the new very good wine selection.

Friendly family business, with a living room atmosphere. Very nice staff. Cozy breakfast buffet (but not included in the price), WiFi and the central location are advantages. Rooms and the hotel are clean all around. Free bottle of water in your room every day. What I didn't like that much is the price / performance ratio for room size and furnishings.

Very traditional guesthouse, certainly not the most modern place but has a rustic charm that really adds to it's character. Rooms are basic, but clean and tidy. Perfect if you're just looking for somewhere to get a good night's sleep, and it's in a great location, just 2 minutes walk from the Deutsch-Bahn and 5 minutes to the Wasserturm.

Rooms are clean and stuff is very nice. The reason for this 2 star rating is the fact that I received a room different from what I booked on booking. The pictures on booking looked much better than the room that I got. Another issue was the fact that it didn't have a double bed, but twin beds which was annoying. After complaining at the reception I got another room which looked more like the one on booking, but it still didn't have a double bed, but a single larger one. The price that I paid for this hotel is too high from my point of view. Moreover, the breakfast was not included and for 7euro/day I find this very expensive considering the fact that you didn't have a lot of options and it didn't vary from day to day.

My stay started great cuz I got a room upgrade to a comfort room.The staff was really nice.When I arrived I got a map and the staff member marked all the places worth going,regarding to my interests. 1 negative point is the heat.Right now it is so hot...and so is the room.Sleeping with open window,u got the noise from outside and inside u got the fan provided to each room,which was also quite noisy. The breakfast for 7€ was everything u need with even self made jam. I would always stay there again if it the outside temperature is moderate.

Very friendly staff, nice and cosy place, the decor gives an atique feeling. Rooms are cosy too and perfect for a stay when you're roaming around the city.

Nice familiar hotel, internet can improve

I had a nice renovated room on the 4th floor. The room was clean and quiet. A great, great TV. Elevator quite cramped. The breakfast was very basic with little choice. The service is friendly and helpful.

Authentic regional hospitality and meals. One of only 4 such in town. Rated locally in Top 10 places to eat by the town. Jorgan is a great host and very knowledgeable.

If you’re sensitive to noises in the middle of night, stay away from this place. Although the staff are friendly and rooms are clean, but the structure of the building is not right for a hotel. Depending on your expectation of a hotel, it would be at best in your acceptable range at best. Breakfast is good, specially because of their homemade marmalade and people who work there.

This cosy restaurant is a warm, comfortable place to taste some traditional Germany fare. The staff are friendly and accommodating, with menus available in English, German, and Braille. The prices are reasonable and the portions generous - so arrive hungry! If you're visiting on a Friday or Saturday night, do book ahead; the locals know this place is good. You won't find sousvide molecular gastronome here; but there's no chance of leaving disappointed.
